Councilwoman Lisa Inzerillo (R-Kings Park) has served on the Town Council since 2016 and has since been a valued member of the Smithtown team in moving the town forward. Working closely with Wehrheim since he was elected Supervisor in 2017, Inzerillo has helped contribute to restoration and revitalization in the community.
Perhaps one of Inzerillo’s strongest accomplishments was that of the conversion of the Smithtown Animal Shelter into a condemnable, abhorrent facility, into that fosters helpless animals, partners with other shelters and rescue groups, and implements strong safety measures for all animals. Inzerillo worked closely with John Valentine, then of the Department of Public Works, to collect information from other shelters to make Smithtown’s a reputable facility.
Inzerillo’s long career managing different units in a hospital setting and her decorated profile with civic groups gives her the community outreach we believe is necessary for the Town Council.
The Messenger endorses Councilwoman Lisa Inzerillo for Smithtown Council.
