Heros 4 Our Heroes Needs Your Help!

“Heros 4 Our Heroes,” a local charity run by the Panico Family, has been providing relief to Veterans and first responders for years.

As with Christmas and New Year’s, the organization provides turkeys to the VA Hospital in Northport for Thanksgiving.

But this year, with the specter of inflation making even a modest Thanksgiving feast cost-prohibitive, Heros 4 Our Heroes needs your help.

“The prices of the turkeys went bananas this year with a 70% increase,” said Donato Panico describing why his organizing put out the call for $7,000 to help buy the turkeys.

While Senator Mario Mattera and Western Beef were able to secure $1,500 in vouchers to assist, it is still not enough.

“Thanks to the great work of Debbie in my office and the leadership of Western Beef, Heros 4 Our Heroes will now have a better ability to show our Veterans. Our brave Veterans deserve to have a great holiday, and I thank Donato and all who join him in the effort for all they do to make the holidays brighter for the men and women who have served our nation,” stated Senator Mattera. “God bless our Veterans, and God bless the United States of America.”

Anyone who would like to support Heros 4 Our Heroes with this event or the other great work the charity does for our heroes should visit them at 186 Terry Road in Smithtown or visit them online at heros4ourheroes.org.
