‘FLIP Circus’ is in Town!

-

Heads up circusgoers! FLIP Circus has officially landed at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove. From now until Monday, May 30, performances will be held in the traditional red and white circus tent located near the Verizon store off Middle Country Road.

This entirely new experience was created by the Vazquez family to celebrate the 200-year-old American circus tradition. “Circus Vazquez,” geared towards the Latino community, has been operating for 50 years. It was only recently the family decided to venture into “keeping the amazing American circus tradition alive,” as stated on their website. This is their first tour in the United States, which promises an all-inclusive English-speaking show to families nationwide.

“Hold your breath as the Globe of Death Motorcycles whiz and whir at breakneck speeds inside a steel ball,” writes Flip Circus. “Marvel at the grace and strength of the Alexa Swing Pole act and Shirley Larible’s dazzling aerial strap act.”

America’s own Chicago AllStars astounds with incredible acrobatics. Two of the world’s finest jugglers, Dede Larible and Luva, each present their own sensational style of the timeless art form. The multi-talented Bingo Troupe, direct from the war-torn Ukraine, fills the tent with their lively energy, as the live FLIP Circus Band keeps the party going from beginning to end.

“FLIP Circus honors and celebrate authentic circus tradition and the human spirit in an event you won’t want to miss!” Italy’s Bello Brothers, Stiv and Ronni, add a huge comic relief to the show; further allowing FLIP Circus to pride itself on offering a far-ranging circus experience – one all those in attendance would not soon forget.

In a world where most of our time is devoted to screens, this real-life display of first-rate entertainment and inclusive showmanship, by design, promises affordability, interactivity, and most importantly, diversity. Children and adults alike will most assuredly leave the event with lasting memories, and a desire to revisit the circus the next time it comes back to their parts.

“(Though) there are no animals,” Christopher from ticket sales said, “we do have juggling, motorcycles, acrobats and a band,” while holding the guitar upon his lap.

Each performance can entertain around 800 guests, with no audience member permitted more than 50 feet from the ring. Light refreshments such as soda, hot dogs and nachos are being sold as well.

For additional information, visit www.FlipCircus.com. A show is available to watch every day with varying times. Ticket prices are $25.00 for children. For anyone over the age of 10, ticket prices vary from $55.00 – $65.00. Although tickets can be purchased in-person, you may want to purchase online to save $10.00.
