HAUPPAUGE – Waves in Hauppauge has officially celebrated the re-grand opening of the beloved spa, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter under the ownership of Tina Duffy. With more than 30 years of experience as a hairstylist, Duffy brings a deep passion for both the beauty industry and community involvement. Her vision for the salon is to preserve the welcoming reputation Waves has built over the years while introducing fresh new energy, expanded outreach, and continued dedication to serving the community.
The re-grand opening has introduced an updated and refreshed brand to the community, further strengthening Waves’ presence among clients and local residents. Enhancements include new branding and logo updates, refreshed exterior and interior signage, and a complete overhaul of the salon’s marketing and social media presence, bringing a fresh new look and renewed energy to the spa.
Along with the salon’s new updates, clients can also enjoy a wide range of services, including balayage and dimensional color, Brazilian smoothing treatments, precision haircuts, and prom and special-occasion styling. Whether preparing for a wedding, an upcoming vacation, or simply a much-needed self-care day, the team at Waves is ready to help clients look and feel their best.
Although Waves prides itself on its services, Duffy says the salon is more than that.
“My goal is for every client to feel like they’re walking into a family member’s home,” she said. “We want everyone to feel comfortable, welcomed, and truly cared for from the moment they walk through the door.”
Community involvement is at the heart of Waves’ mission, with giving back to Long Island residents serving as an important part of Tina’s vision for the salon. Waves regularly volunteers with Ronald McDonald House Charities and takes part in the Hope, Healing, and Hair: Salon Days program at Stony Brook Hospital, offering haircuts and self-care services to patients and their families during difficult times.
The salon has also contributed to local efforts such as Hauppauge High School’s Kicks for Cancer event and continues to support a variety of community events and charitable initiatives across Long Island.
This dedication to the community was also showcased during the salon’s recent Re-Grand Opening, where more than $1,000 was raised for Ronald McDonald House Charities through raffles and donations.
“Small businesses like Waves Salon are what keep our communities strong and vibrant. It was a pleasure to recognize their re-grand opening and celebrate the hard work, dedication, and investment they continue to make right here in Hauppauge,” Senator Mario Mattera (R-St. James) told The Messenger. “I encourage everyone to stop by, support this local business, and wish them continued success for many years to come.”
Following a successful Re-Grand Opening, a refreshed brand, and continued dedication to both quality service and community involvement, Waves Salon Hauppauge looks ahead to an exciting future.
For Tina Duffy, the goal is clear: to create a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable, leave feeling confident, and know they are supporting a business that truly values the community around it.
