Business Spotlight: Energy Boost’s Grand Opening

-

Soft opening back in June, Energy Boost is now a staple among Smithtown’s devoted gym-going community. Nestled between three gyms on the north side of East Main Street, the establishment caters to fitness-minded folk looking for energy and nutrition.

They celebrated their grand opening on Friday and Saturday, November 18 and 19, with raffles, samples and prizes.

Wilson Maldonado, the owner, has another location in East Islip.

“We noticed it was a town that liked sports and athletics,” said Maldonado, “with all the marathons and gyms.”

And with the abundant success of this primary location, the additional location made sense.

The establishment provides a healthy, low-sugar, high-protein alternative to what already exists in the market.

The strategy seems to be paying off, with Maldonado noticing that many of his patrons come after their workouts to recharge or beforehand to have the energy they need.

The setup itself is modern, with yellow barstools surrounding the black bar. The health-conscious options include non-caffeinated options, protein-rich shakes, and teas. There is something for every palate. There is even a seasonally-inspired fall menu.

According to one employee, even the bull, universally recognized as the symbol of Smithtown, resonates with the fortuitous and athletic goals of the business.

Between now and 2028, the fitness industry is expected to grow by 171%, according to zippia.com.

“For ourselves and for the people we serve, we wanted to provide them with these healthy options.”
