The Smithtown GOP held its annual Super Bowl Brunch at Windows on the Lake on Sunday, February 13.

Smithtown GOP Chairman Bill Ellis hosted the event which even featured a campaign stop by presumptive GOP candidate for Governor, Congressman Lee Zeldin.

When asked how the event turned out, Ellis called it a “Fabulous event for the kickoff for the Lee Zeldin for Governor campaign in Smithtown.”

Other noteworthy Republicans from across Long Island, including Suffolk and Brookhaven GOP Chairman Jesse Garcia, Town of Islip GOP Chairman Garbarino, Senator Mario Mattera and Assemblyman Fitzpatrick were in attendance.

Also looking to garner campaign support: Anthony Figliola, running for the First Congressional District. With redistricting passed and stuck in litigation for the time being, Figliola and other candidates are free to start campaigning.

Smithtown Supervisor Ed Wehrheim and councilmembers Thomas J. McCarthy, Lynne C. Nowick, Lisa M. Inzerillo and Thomas W. Lohmann also attended with Wehrheim stressing the importance of this upcoming election.

“It was a wonderful and widely attended event in support of Chairman Ellis and Supervisor Wehrheim in celebration of our past election and what’s ahead,” said Figliola.

Our future Governor Lee Zeldin gave an impassioned speech in support of the hardworking men and women of our state.

“My wife and I were honored to be a part of it.”
