Steve Flotteron for Suffolk County Legislator

After 16 years in elected office — 12 years as an Islip Councilman and four in the Suffolk Legislature — Republican Steve Flotteron of Brightwaters brings another 35 years of experience in financial services. It’s a perfect blend of private sector work and public service. His career has been built as a community leader who is successful in bringing the right people together, and his tenure boasts numerous public-private partnership projects for the benefit of district residents, including the preservation of parkland, construction of playgrounds, and expansion of ballfields across his district and the Town of Islip.

Most recently, Flotteron has been a champion of the fight to clean the Great South Bay by securing funding for a Fire Island Wastewater Solutions Planning & Engineering Study. This will be an important step in transitioning Fire Island from antiquated cesspools and septic systems to a sewer system which will help stop the dangerous increase in nitrogen in our bay.

The Messenger Papers endorse Steve Flotteron for Legislator in the Eleventh District.
