Nick Caracappa for Suffolk County Legislator

-

Nick Caracappa was elected to the Suffolk Legislature last November in a special election to fill the vacancy left by the passing of Legislator Tom Muratore.

In January, Caracappa took office and hit the ground running, putting his years of experience as a community and labor leader to work for the County. Having previously served as an elected trustee on the Middle Country Board of Education, a coach and leader in youth sports organizations, and as president of the Suffolk County Water Authority workers union for 14 years, he has a strong record of fighting for, and delivering for, his respective constituents.

Caracappa has demonstrated a pragmatic no-nonsense approach to governing and has earned a reputation as a doer. In his first ten months in office, he has worked to make water infrastructure a priority by advocating for sewer expansion. He has also built a coalition of county colleagues to support State lawmakers calling for the immediate resurfacing of the crumbling Long Island Expressway.

The Messenger Papers endorse Nick Caracappa for Legislator in the Fourth District.
