Dominick Thorne for Suffolk County Legislator

The Seventh District race is a rematch between Democrat Legislator Rob Calarco and Republican challenger Dominick Thorne, both of Patchogue.

Calarco has been the incumbent for ten years and was elected as the body’s Presiding Officer in 2020. He has focused on district needs and delivered for Patchogue Village. However, he was the sponsor of a bill to publicly finance political campaigns. This will waste millions of tax-payer dollars to support candidates with positions you may not believe in. You’ll be paying politicians to call you during dinner and send you junk mail pieces.

Dominick Thorne has pledged to be an independent voice for taxpayers and residents under his “Putting People First” slogan. As a First Responder for many years and an avid volunteer, he stands with our healthcare heroes who stood on the frontlines during the pandemic. Thorne has put his community first, pledges fiscal responsibility, and will stand for his constituents in the future.

The Messenger Papers endorse Dominick Thorne for Legislator in the Seventh District.
