Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney scored a major courtroom win this week as three defendants — including a veteran Suffolk police officer — admitted to running a prostitution operation that spanned Holbrook and West Babylon for more than four years.

Frank Saggio, 61; Officer George Trimigliozzi, 56; and Dana Ciardullo, 33 each entered guilty pleas on September 12 to charges ranging from enterprise corruption to promoting prostitution. Prosecutors said the group operated multiple brothels disguised as spas and forced sex workers to pay steep monthly fees, up to $12,000.

“These guilty pleas represent accountability for those who violated the public’s trust,” Tierney said, emphasizing his office’s commitment to rooting out corruption even within law enforcement ranks.

Saggio, the ringleader, faces two to six years in prison and will forfeit nearly $1.9 million. Trimigliozzi, an 18-year police veteran, will serve two years behind bars for prostitution and misconduct charges, along with a concurrent 30-day sentence in a separate unlawful imprisonment case. Ciardullo, who managed the West Babylon “Tunnel of Love” site, will serve six months in jail followed by probation.

Sentencing is set for later this year, while charges remain pending against a fourth alleged co-conspirator, longtime Islip school district employee Steven Arey.

The case adds to Tierney’s growing list of high-profile corruption prosecutions, reinforcing his message that “no one is above the law” in Suffolk County.
