First Congressional District

NICK LALOTA 

LaLota comes from a police family, with his Father serving in the Nassau County Police Department. Both of his grandfathers served in the New York City Police Department. His mother worked at Grumman. Following in his family’s steps, he went on to Annapolis and later attained the rank of Lieutenant, serving three tours. 

Returning stateside, he was appointed and was subsequently elected to the Amityville Board of Trustees. He points to his record of staying within the 2% property tax cap without diminishing services. 

LaLota is the Chief of Staff for the Presiding Officer of the Suffolk County Legislature and was previously the Republican Commissioner of the Suffolk County Board of Elections. He has held numerous other leadership positions in Suffolk County. 

LaLota is the Republican and Conservative Parties’ pick to run for the First Congressional District. He has three children and a wife, Kaylie.

Smithtown Town Clerk Vinny Puleo; Suffolk County Legislators Leslie Kennedy, Kevin McCaffrey (Presiding Officer), Anthony Piccirillo, Robert Trotta, Nick Caracappa, Dominick Thorne, and James Mazzarella. 

He is endorsed by the seven Republican Committee Chairs in the congressional district, and other locally elected officials. 

ANTHONY FIGLIOLA 

Figliola is the son of Navy Veterans and a lifelong resident of the district. He currently resides in East Setauket with his wife, Christine, and their three children. He attended Stony Brook University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Public Policy shortly after. 

Following some work experience as a financial advisor, he became the deputy supervisor for economic development to the Town of Brookhaven. Then, he left municipal government for Empire Government Strategies, where he is the Executive Vice President. Empire Government Strategies specializes in economic development, lobbying, and public affairs. 

He posits himself as an “American First” and “Families First” candidate. 

Endorsements: Moms for Liberty of Nassau and Suffolk, Show Me Your Face New York, Long Island Patriettes Society, Bellmore Patriots, the America First Warehouse, Renegades for Freedom, Bethpage Moms & Dads for Liberty, Long Island Patriot Coalition, and Stand for Health Freedom. 

MICHELLE BOND 

Bond received her bachelor’s degree from Baruch College before attaining her Juris Doctor from the Columbus School of Law. 

Her professional life saw her in both the public and private sectors in and around the Beltway. She has worked for financial institutions of all sizes, the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs for the United States Senate and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Now, she is the CEO of the Association for Digital Asset Markets, a membership-based association of firms operating in the digital asset markets. 

Endorsements: Long Island Loud Majority Ric Grenell, Suffolk County Police Conference, Winning For Women, and United States Senator Ted Cruz.

Second Congressional District


ANDREW GARBARINO

Garbarino is an attorney born and raised in Sayville. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history and classical humanities from George Washington University. He went on to earn a juris doctor from Hofstra University. 

He soon went to work for his family’s law firm before becoming representative of the Seventh Assembly District. Then, in 2020, Garbarino succeeded Congressman Peter King. He has introduced 17 pieces of legislation and cosponsored nearly 430 pieces of legislation. He has also been a vocal proponent of fully restoring SALT deductions. 

ROBERT CORNICELLI 

Cornicelli was born in New York. Cornicelli graduated from Nassau Community College in 1999 and C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in 2002. He served in the U.S. Army from 2004 to 2017. His professional experience includes working as an inspector supervisor for the Town of Oyster Bay. He currently live in St. James with his wife, Cynthia, and his two children Sienna and Cristain. He is the host of the sho “In the Ring with CPT C” and co-host of “Vets Talk” on “LI in the AM with Jay Oliver,” both air on 103.9 LI News Radio.
