Jesse Garcia Re-Elected as Chairman

-

On Tuesday night, with a line out the door standing room only at the storied “Third Avenue” headquarters of the Islip Republican Party in Bay Shore since the 1950s, Jesse Garcia was unanimously re-elected as Chairman of the Suffolk County Republican Committee. Excited about their November prospects, the energy in the building among Republican supporters, volunteers, and elected officials was palpable.

After thunderous applause, Chairman Garcia thanked his family and the hundreds of volunteer Committee Members of the Suffolk County Republican Party. “As I have always said, the Committee Member is the first amongst equals,” said Chairman Garcia. “Your tireless support allows us to deliver good government and safer communities. We have made history over the last two years by electing a Republican Majority in the Suffolk County Legislature for the first time in two decades, and we have a District Attorney who will finally enforce the laws and put criminals behind bars.”

In his speech, Chairman Garcia continued to detail how the party had successfully overcome five primary elections this year, funded by millions of dollars from special interest groups.

Family, friends and colleagues celebrated Garcia’s expected re-election after his dedication to not only the party but Suffolk County as a whole.

“Jesse Garcia exemplifies what it means to start at the very bottom as a volunteer committee member and now to work his way up to lead this fantastic organization,” said Assemblyman Doug Smith of Holbrook, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Islip Town Republican Committee.

Garcia was first elected unanimously as Chairman of the Suffolk County Republican Party in April 2019 — as well as Chairman of the Town of Brookhaven Republican Committee since 2007.

Garcia’s gregarious attitude reflects positively on his colleagues, and his support has only mounted.

“We have a great Chairman who does a fantastic job, getting all the troops rallied and focused on one purpose,” said Senator Alexis Weik of New York’s Third District. “We have great chances this year, and we are going to do really well.”

In preparation for elections this November, Garcia concluded amping up the crowd, encouraging a red wave and Republican wins across the board.

“We will have the first governor from Suffolk County and first Republican governor since 2006 when we elect Lee Zeldin in just 49 days. We are going to send Congressman Andrew Garbarino back to Washington; we are going to elect Nick LaLota to join him in Congress. We are going to take back more seats in the State Senate; Wendy Rodriguez will be the next elected Senator in New York State, and she will join our growing Republican State Assembly delegation,” Garcia said to great applause.
