
CORAM – On April 17 at approximately 1:15a.m., Emergency Services Dispatcher (ESD) Timothy Murphy fielded a 9-1-1 call in regard to a woman giving birth in the Coram Fire District. ESD Murphy promptly assisted the caller and the mother by providing instructions to keep the mother and the baby safe until first responders arrived at the scene. ESD Murphy’s instructions helped result in the successful delivery of a beautiful baby that day.
In recognition of a job well done, Suffolk County Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services Commissioner Rudy Sunderman presented ESD Murphy with a certificate and congratulated him in recognition of this work.
