Between their hard work in training and routines. Coupled with their hard work raising funds for their possible trip. The William Floyd varsity cheerleading team is headed to Orlando, Florida later this winter to compete in the national cheerleading competition. These competitions are held in Disneyland venues so the team will also get to stay at and tour Disney.
Putting forth a nearly flawless routine this past week at Farmingdale State College in the regional competition. The young ladies earned themselves a spot in the national competition as well. This is the second year the Colonials are headed down south to this elite competition and to make life long memories together.
In addition to cheer, the ladies have been working hard to raise funds for their trip. The cheer squad recently held a holiday market at William Floyd High School with a large variety of vendors, raffles, and a pasta dinner being served to those who purchased a ticket. Proceeds raised this evening helped to fund the girls travel, trip, and stay. Thankfully their community certainly rallied around and supported them.
