“I congratulate Marissol Mallon on her re-election and Melissa Torregrossa on her new board position,” Burger told The Messenger. “I wish them and their family all the best, both personally and as our board trustees. I want to thank my family, friends, and supporters for their hard work during this journey. I appreciate it more than I can express here. We are facing problems as a community, and we need everyone to put down their swords and focus on getting the job done. I will continue my community involvement and advocate for the same issues that were important to me as a candidate.”
“In the world of politics, someone will win and someone will lose. The government we live under has change occur with a ballot, not a bullet,” Napolitano told The Messenger. “Congratulations to the winners, Marissol and Melissa. Their message was accepted by the people and they came out and voted. Running a campaign is easy; running the actual government entity is hard. Good luck to our entire Board.”
